Monday was the comment deadline for the Office of Management and Budget’s Proposed Regulation on Federal Financial Assistance, which would make broad and significant changes to federal research administration. APLU provided an overview of key changes in the proposed rule. UW–Madison joined nearly 500,000 other individuals and entities in submitting public comments to the proposal; our comments will be posted on regulations.gov once they are processed. In addition, numerous Senators and Members of Congress have weighed in on the proposal, including Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Susan Collins (R-ME), all the members of the Senate Democratic Caucus, and the Democratic members of the House Science Committee.
