University coalitions submit letter about disruptions to federally supported research

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, the Association of American Universities (AAU), Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities (APLU) and Council on Government Relations (COGR) submitted a letter to the Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Office of Management and Budget expressing concerns about recent disruptions to federally funded research in the U.S. They highlight reported issues including cash flow disruptions, unclear compliance requirements, abrupt project terminations, and a new NIH policy capping facilities and administrative cost reimbursements and offer recommendations for action.
