Chancellor Mnookin signs on to Council on Competitiveness statement

Chancellor Jennifer L. Mnookin joined 49 fellow members of the Council on Competitiveness in a “Renewed Call to Action,” asking lawmakers to reinvest in the research partnerships and innovation infrastructure that have made the United States the global leader in turning knowledge and ideas into commercial value and societal impact.

Citing the past century of U.S. leadership and investment in science and technology as the foundations of our nation’s economic strength, national security, and global influence, the statement points to the vital partnership among universities, national laboratories, industry, and government as a driver of progress and prosperity.

The Council on Competitiveness is an American non-profit organization that seeks to increase the U.S.’s economic competitiveness in the global marketplace. Chancellor Mnookin is a member of the Council, which is comprised of prominent leaders from academia, business, labor, and the national labs.
